R & L Farms is located on 90 acres just 4 miles North of Elizabeth,Colorado 20 minutes SE of Parker. We specialize in boarding, polo, jumping, training, and exercising horses. Our focus is on quality care at reasonable rates.
Our farm was built in 1918 as a working cattle ranch, and has a special ambiance to it. The original home and barns, a large hay barn, and outbuildings give the place a special ambiance. We have our horses, client horses, 50+ laying chickens, dogs & cats! It is a very relaxed atmosphere, without compromising safety to you or your horse.
We offer 14 open stalls with runs, numerous paddocks and pastures. The main pasture is 40 acres of woods, trails and year round stream. Adjoining the pasture is a 3/4 - mile exercise track, with pastures around and in the center of it. The track is wide enough for 9 horses, 7/8 mile around with the footing maintained for serious exercising, or just long enjoyable walks.
We have a 6 horse hot walker, space and expertise for medical layups, and short term or overnight boarding. We allow all vets and your choice of farrier and have built a relationship with many of each to recommend.
We offer Polo, Western and English riding lessons. We have arenas-fenced, open and an area with just sand to work your horse. We offer Fox Hunting and Polo packages, horse training or tune - ups. The cost of your board includes trailer parking, tack rooms, a stick & ball field, plus the exercise track, and trails. All disciplines welcome!!
All boarding includes hay, water (heated in winter), salt and mineral blocks. We have a grass/alfalfa mix provided from Wyoming, and have used the same supplier for over 12 years. Our house grain is Horseman's Edge 12, and we also carry Senior Equine or Compete, and Beet pulp.
